We're gearing up for our first season and are openly recruiting interested new skaters!
First things first: To join GSR you must be a female age 21+ with health insurance. You must live within a comfortable proximity (for you) to our home rink in Newark, NJ. We are a DIY organization, so you should also be willing & able to pitch in the time and effort needed to get things done!
We skate at Branch Brook Park Roller Skating Center in Newark, NJ. Convienently located less than one minute off Rt. 280. Stop by on Mondays around 9:30pm to meet everyone and to learn more!!! (if you'd like to skate that night too, just bring a proof of health insurance)

We suggest attending Branch Brook Park's skate lessons on Saturday mornings (10am – 11:30am) and staying for the open skate session afterward (11:30 – 2:30pm) to work on getting your "skate legs" back. Some of our league members attend these sessions regularly. Work on your crossovers, t-stops, endurance and overall comfort while on your skates. This is the opportunity to freshen up your basic skate skills upon which to build your roller derby skills and to meet and get to know some of us!
Men and women of all ages are welcome to participate in many ways: We need referees, coaches, timekeepers, stat trackers, production staff and lots more!
